I Almost Quit…

Dear Hope Beauty Sisters,

Last year, I reached a point where I wanted to give up on Hope Beauty. I had spent years building it, but I could not see how to keep going in a way that felt meaningful.

So I asked God what to do. I felt the Holy Spirit whisper, “Turn it into ministry.”

In that moment, I felt butterflies of hope flutter in my soul once again. I can do that, God, and I would be honored, was my reply.

Today, I am so excited to tell you that Hope Beauty is officially a nonprofit.

This transition is about more than changing our structure. It is about returning to the reason I started Hope Beauty in the first place: to help young women understand their worth, grow in confidence, and become the women God created them to be.

Our products will continue to be at the heart of what we do, because the makeup funds the ministry. Revenue from your purchases will help fund free courses, discipleship resources, confidence programs, and initiatives like Fostering Esthers for young women experiencing foster care.

This is what we mean when we say “Makeup with the Message.” The message is bigger than what is printed on a product. It is the truth of the Gospel!

And these resources are not being created for someone else. They are being created for you.

The girl who discovers Hope Beauty through a lip gloss at lunch with her friend is the same girl I want to meet on our website six months later for a course on Godly confidence. She is the young woman I want to equip to navigate friendship, purpose, femininity, faith, theology and the many decisions that shape who she becomes.

I want Hope Beauty to be a place you can return to again and again, not only when you need a new product, but when you need encouragement, wisdom, and a reminder of who you are.

What began as a makeup company is becoming a ministry where beauty opens the door to something much deeper.

I once thought I needed to figure out how to save Hope Beauty. Instead, God showed me that I simply needed to surrender it to Him.

And now, I believe we are just beginning to see what He can do with it.
